L'Ipad, qui est entièrement conçu, développé et commercialisé par Apple, est l'un des ordinateurs tablettes les plus performants. Il s'agit d'un mélange de smartphone et d'ordinateur portable.

Publiée par Apple en avril 2010, il exécute le même système d'exploitation que l'iPhone et l'iPod touch.
Il gère ses propres applications voire même les applications iPhone, et il est la meilleure façon de découvrir le web, de consulter son courrier électronique, de voir et de partager des photos et vidéo, tout cela à portée de main.

• Comme l'iPod Touch et l'iPhone, l'iPad est doté d'un écran multitouch et utilise une connexion de données wifi pour surfer sur Internet, charger en streaming, mettre à jour ou télécharger des logiciels et e-mail.

• Il peut être géré et synchronisé sur un ordinateur personnel via un câble USB en utilisant l'application iTune.
